Why Choose favorite Emily Rath has a new paranormal romance coming out in JUST A COUPLE OF DAYS, and we’re the only Arizona indie participating in her Indie Bookstores preorder campaign! With your preorder, you’ll get a signed bookplate, really cool art print, and a sticker that Emily designed herself! We’ve seen the graphics, they’re all very cool. Also, the book itself is gorgeous (we are suckers for The Pretties at Why Choose and this one is particularly so). You can preorder anytime between now and its release on August 4th, right on our website!

We’re so excited to be celebrating Bookstore Romance Day with an amazing event with some awesome partners in a magical space. Join us on Saturday, August 15 between 10am and 2pm at 4400 E Broadway Blvd, Suite 114 for Swoon: A Bookstore Romance Day and Photography Fundraiser. Hosted by the amazing Rachel Marie Castillo, we’ll be sharing the space with a great local coffee vendor, Coffee Mucho, and the fabulous Tree & Co Styling. Rachel herself will be offering cover-style photos for a recommended donation, and you can find the perfect outfit and scenario from Tree & Co (or bring your own). And of course, we’ll be there with a curated selection of books and merch, including some things specially made for Bookstore Romance Day!

But wait, there’s more!

We’ll be hosting a few of our favorite local authors for signings throughout the event! Bring your own copies or buy them onsite (including some that aren’t very available in other locations).

Why no 1:30 signing, you ask? Because that’s when we’ll start our raffle pull!

That’s right, friends, there are going to be so many amazing prizes, we can’t just wait until just before 2pm to get them going. You’ll be able to buy raffle tickets between 10am and 1:30 on the dot, when we’ll pull for a number of prizes including:

and so much more! All raffle ticket sales will be donated to Fluxx Productions, a local organization dedicated to supporting the queer community and social change through arts, advocacy, and community programs.

We’ll also be at the End-Of-Summer Market being put on by Tucson Spotlight, Tucson Tome Gnome, and Pima County Public Library on Sunday, August 16 from 9-12pm (yes, that is the next day).

Are you participating in the Adult Summer Reading Club? This is when you’ll come and get your prizes for filling out the tracker, and be entered into a raffle for every BINGO you got! (Not to mention, if you got a blackout, we’ll have a little something something for you, while supplies last!) (And we’ll have a littler something something for you if you completed your tracker.) Come visit, crow over your reading peers about winning Summer Reading, and shop from a few other local vendors!
