Play Ball! A Sports Romance Pop-Up
Join us between 2pm and 4:30pm for books, fun, and fellowship at 4th & 4th (402 E 4th St. Tucson, AZ). Come ready to hear the absolute worst sports-related double entendres and find your next favorite read centering sport, athletes, and other sport-related things. Since it’s already hellishly hot outside, we’ll be completely indoors this time around, but you’ll still see our banners and other indicators on the porch of 4th & 4th!
And of course, Don’t forget your TFOB BINGO! If you got five across in any direction, we’ll have something for you at the door!
Logistics
What you should know
Like I said, it’s going to be HOOOTTT. And not in the good way. While we’ve been split between the amazing porch at 4th & 4th and the inside space the past couple of pop-ups, this one will be all inside. We’ve been messing around with display options and other features to help manage the space for this change, and we’re excited to share our new layout with you!
Sunday is a popular time on Fourth avenue! The 4th & 4th Foundation is at the top of the business district, so parking is usually a little easier. But keep an eye out if you’re parking on side streets; some of them are 24-hour residential parking only. Street parking is free on Sundays, even at meters, but if you decide you’d rather not deal with it and want to park in a lot, make sure to read the signs—some places might be tow-happy!
If you’d like to come early and have lunch, there are plenty of spots in the Fourth Avenue area as well as Downtown or at Main Gate Square, which are both a quick streetcar ride away. There are lots of options, no matter what you might be in the mood for. Plan ahead; there might be a lot of places hosting afternoon March Madness parties (or whatever, I don’t know how basketball schedules work).
